Alright! I saw the player (A pic of it) and it looks sweet! Especially with the vista theme I have going on. However, when I went to install it, it said I need the rollup 2...and when i go to the Microsoft website to get the updates, it said I don't need any updates...help please?
I have 11, but the only reason I have it is because I have Vista. There's not a lot of difference between it and 10, just the Vista theme. And besides, if your gfx card can't support it, it would look the exact same anyways...
its not my gfx card, my desktop looks lie vista as in the tast bar and everything, just that i want wmp 11...
i downloaded 11 before my last reformat and it was a little buggy. so this time i just stick with 10. actually forget windows media, go winamp.
Just because your desktop looks like Vista, I can guarantee you it doesn't have all of the visual elements Vista incorporates. I myself had a Vista theme on XP, but now that I have Vista as my OS, it is completely different. The only thing I can suggest is maybe un-installing and re-installing.
I`ve got WMP 11 and i don`t have any problems with it, i have windows xp SP 2. It works fine here... Gac.
k, ill try that Merged Post: omg...it still doesn't work...even after i installed the service pack 2... A pic...
Did you try downloading the Rollup 2 from Microsoft's website? Sometimes, Microsoft's IE says that you don't need the updates but, in truth, you do. It has happened to me once but then, I just found the update and installed and it was fine.
OK, try this. Remove the theme from your computer. Re-download the installer for Windows Media Player 11 and try to install it. If that fails, re-format your computer. Check your computer manual for information on how to do this.
This happened to me too, when you go to windows update I believe it's an optional one or something, try using custum instead of express and go to optional, and select rollup 2 if it's there.
Lol? Reformat his computer just to get a Media Player to install? You went here right: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en ? And you have a genuine edition of windows right?
