One of my laptops says there is 248mb of ram. Even though theres 2 sticks that equal 512. Is it a slot problem? I ran dxdiag and checked online

on or both of your ram stick are bad, most likely... try running memtest...

well, i tried each separetly, both work but still the same 248 instead of 256. I have a third one as well, also 256 but it also says 248.
