    English Grammar~~~Official Thread~~~~~~~

I was born as a Taiwanese, and 60% of my English knowledges were granted by the educations of Taiwan.

It is true that the best way you want to master in English is to reside in a place where uses English as the main communication language; however, one thing I am sure is that Taiwan has better materials at teaching students English grammars than USA.

In America, they do teach you the basic things of grammar, but most of them don't teach you step by step as though they expect you to figure out "why this works" and "why that works" by interacting your minds with the nation inhabitly associated with English.

In Taiwan, this is not the case. Taiwanese educational systems specifically teaching English are very emphasizing at grammars--and they will teach you English grammar in very step by step manner. You will most likely feel exhausted when you learn English grammars in Taiwan, but you will absorb handful fundamentals that will affect how you present yourself in public.

I'd say that if you really want to be a person who is very good at English, then learn your grammatical fundamental in Taiwan and speak with Americans in US. This will improve your overall English accent and English writing ability. It will also make you easily comprehend many idioms as possible.

Therefore, I believe US educational systems have better grasp at teaching people the basic grammars of Mandarin than in Taiwan and Mainland China. Very funny it is, but that's just how it is.

This is sort of pointless and I'm not sure what your point was because first you praise Taiwan for how it teaches grammar, and then the US. Well whatever education you've had I could pick out many mistakes in that one post.

    How is it pointless?

I stated why people who learned English in another country tend to overwhelm people who were born speaking English.

Because most English teachers in US expect you to figure out why the English grammar works in this way--they will not go into those little tiny things to cope you with learning English.

What does that have to with the English language in general..you don't have to go to Taiwan to learn english..so your basically what your saying that the U.S. isn't fond of teaching English to students.

I don't get that so anyone who wants to learn English should go to Taiwan?..

You miss my whole frigging point....

I am not saying US is not fond of teaching English, just that they have different conceptions when teaching you English...
They will not go into those details because they expect you to know it while Taiwan will teach you English in the most harsh ways, which is good

No I didn't you assumed I did, I am grown woman..I was trying to understand your logic. I was trying not to belittle you in no shape form or fashion..I don't understand you make these statements and you want to get a reaction out of people and you did that..

You should make it clear on how you post and think of positive not so much as the negative..you want to impose your views on others but you express some anger and expect others to relate..if you want to express your views do them without all the hostility..you get a better response if you do that instead of being negative..I am sorry I made you feel that way that was not my intention..

Please also understand that we also have views of our own that also need to be expressed and you have to listen to our views as well..
