Problem With Text Sizes In Ps

Have no clue wah'ts casuing this since everything was normal yesterday...

So, I open up photoshop today and I wanna write a tut and I do the text tool and all of sudden I have to put the size to like 1500 pt to make it a decent size...
considering I always use 13 pt, that was kinda like wtf for me.

So you guys got any ideas on how to fix this?

 

I have had this problem before and i am racking my brains (what i have of them) to remember why it happened and what i did to resolve the problem mmmm.if i remember before someone else helps you i will let you know m8.

i've had this problem about 1,5 year ago.

It's something about the resolution - I just can't remember how to change it.

Try this: copy your whole image and go to File->New, make the resolution 28 (mine's 28,346, for some reason...). Then try to write the text again.

It's probably a much easier solution to your question, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

 

This has happened to me 2 or 3 times, when I restarted my computer it fixed itself though.

 

the resolution needs to be changed to 72. Open a new document I think its between the height and color mode
