Internet Problems

    well this is how it goes back a month ago or so my computer got ----ed by i dont know what and it wouldnt let my internet start so i had to reformate cause the tards at my internet support didnt know anything. Now i had to take out my 9800xt cause i got no ram and i have my fx5200 in until i get some money anyways im a cs player and yea dont ask about the rates but im always spiking not seriously i spiked to 10ms but it screws me so bad it affects my mouse it glitches exp:keeps shooting keeps turn and keyboard to im straftin and itll keep goin for a half a second which affects my gaming ive completely checked this thing for viruses and my ram is still all intact its be fraged everything and it also affects all my internet when i go say here all i get is x's after my comps been started for 2 hours what could the problem be im on 2meg cable so i dont think that would be it im really confused help plz

    how much ram do you have available at the moment and what version of windows are you running?

    xp pro
    and 384 ddr but it ran fine before i formated with this ram

    hmm strange... did you try doing a system restore? that might help...

    i did all of that before and still laggy i found 1 virus in msconfig but it didnt make a difference

    I would give it a guess.
    1) YOu may install a wrong driver for your card. (That really ---- up everything)
    2) Nothing is wrong with your RAM if you can boot to window.
    3) Either that or you have a worm that is taking your computer resources.

    windows update affects it and vid drivers affects ms and lag in the game i was told it doesnt?
    EDIT - i had old drivers for this card and it went fine and with new drivers video seems fine but lag picked up maybe nvidia ----ed up on the drivers?

    It is the drivers: I had the EXACT same problem with Quake, I'd play multiplayer on my 5800FX, and the keyboard/mouse would lock up, and I'd end up running forward forever, shooting, or doing something else that made me look like an idiot, until someone fragged me.

    It's a hardware conflict, Nvidia released some news about it's conflicts in it's 5800-5950(5900 Ultra), towards input/output hardware. Although I don't know whether or not NviDia released new drivers, I installed the drivers that came with my keyboard/mouse, and the problem disappeared.
