Account Selling

Ok well I know the rule of no accounts being sold after april 5th 2004 or 05 i forget. Well, I think accounts that are over a year old should be allowed to be sold IF they have liek a certain # of posts like 2k and/or a certain # or rep. I really need some money, and i can't sell my account cause its not old enough, but its not like I made this just to spam and sell it...so I think there should be a post requirement so over 1 year accounts can be sold

 

I'll bring up moving the sell date back with staff, although the date probably won't be moved past July or August if we move it at all. So don't get your hopes up.

 

I've always wondered. Howcome the account has to be that old before someone can sell it?

 

A little over a year ago, people started selling their accounts and it became popular. Some people began registering new accounts, spamming on them and buying a Premium membership (this was long before the Donator membership) and then trying to sell them for about $10 or so. The date was made to prevent people from spamming on new accounts just to sell them.

 

well this brings up my point. it does work, but like for my instance, its not like I made this account to spam and make a little bit of money, so I think if there was a requirement like 2k posts it wouldn't defeat the purpose, cause its not like someone is going to make 2k spam posts just for $10 or anything

 

Yes for somewhat i agree with Eccentric here i've needed money badly once before and there was nothing i could do at the time i had 1500 posts and a premium membership, i'm not up for selling my account for along time, plus mine isn't even past the one year mark, I'm thinking that if they did do a certain post count it would be higher than 2000, but thats my oppinion.

Nah, i don`t agree, because when they allow selling account that are older then 1 year, all gonna sell they account and they will make a new one.
And then you see the auction room will be full with ' selling my account '.
But when you have a account that is just like 1 or max 2 months older then the one year rule, that they allow to sell it.
Like when you'ev a account that is 1yeah and 2months old that they say ok, sell it if u want.
But not like 1year and 8 months...

Yea, that is what i mean, your account is only one month over the rule date.

They should allow you to sell it, it`s just one month..

As Axiom has already stated it will be put forward to staff and we will see what we can come up with guys,i see no problem moving the date back a bit now but it will not be by a lot...

 

I see Eccentric's point.
But to be honest with you Eccentric, if this rule does get implimented, there will be an overflow of people wanting to sell their accounts, the value of an account will drop.
Thus, making it kind of pointless; wouldn't you think?

 

yea, you can also make some money on it, for every account sold past 1 month until like a certain month, the persons who selling it pays 100 credits per month its over due, and before they sell it, they must get a globals mods yes or something
