You know...those lyrics could be talking about the decievers that the Bible warns us about... "We will not die this way (this is absolution), Death claims us no more...etc..) Death doesnt hold us anymore for we are with Christ and we no longer have death in our lives, we are eternal with Jesus Christ. enough said
Heh, i know what you mean. I listen to Christian metal...but i have found out i like KsE's lyrics much more than many popular christian metal bands. Thats why i posted that bit of the song ^_^ Enough said!
Ha, yeah I know what you mean. They're lyrics are very good and pretty straight forward for the most part.
Contra-Christian Metal: Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, In Flames, Children of Bodom, and of course, Marilyn Manson
I really dont know what Contra means...but I will look it up. Not right now though, i'm a little busy in homework at the moment...ugh, I hate fricken homework.
The concept of Christian metal/rock is a good one, but is usually not interesting enough to listen to compared to other bands... But there are a few good exceptions...
Ha well, there are alot of people that say the exact same thing RIP, and, I used to think the same thing...but then my life went through some big changes and I started paying more attention to the lyrics of christian metal and alot of it related to me. But yeah, I can see where your coming from.
Christian Metal i dont know of any bands that are but i got a few bands that are "christian" related like Demon Hunter, Chevelle?, Disturbed?, If not then im into just Metal, dont really like the screaming and such, but love the bass in some of them! Fear Factory, Slipknot, In Flames, Trivium and Kiuas are my favs ATM.
Marilyn Manson isnt anti-christian, hes anti-organized religion and ----self/----making up your own mind and what you believe... I also dont really consider him to be 'metal' as classed with all these other bands... just @ the person who posted about Marilyn Manson being the opposite of christian metal.
MaDDoG, The three bands you listed, yes Demon Hunter is Chrisitan. Chevelle...I dont know too much about this band, I would have to look it up. And Disturbed.......not remotely close. (just thought you would like to know) And Dementia, Marilyn Manson...wow, this guy is a whole subject on his own. I could go into this subject alot, but it would probably piss alot of people off and thats not really what I would like to accomplish. And I didnt really catch what you were trying to say with the "----self/----" thing. If I caught that right, you are basically saying.... eff' yourself and eff' what I believe. I really dont think thats right, I just simply did what you did. You threw sumthing out there hopefully knowing I was gunna say sumthing to show you that what you said wasnt entirely true in most cases.
pr.o- since its censored it went to ----. Also, if you wanna go head to head about Manson, be my guest, but I will tell you he was my favorite music artist for almost an entire year, and I know far more about his personal beliefs than a bible metal listener would. He is not satanist, he is not pagan, he is not wiccan, he is not anti-'good' religions. He follows belief in himself, and belief in what he personally believes to be right. Just note that if this turns into a whole religious topic, it will be closed, seeing as how hardly no one can maintain a non-flaming religious debate on these forums.
Never liked Marilyn Manson, Any of you dudes recommend any metal? pref christian, since i like it better than normal metal
I know he's not specifically anti-christian, but chr1stianity is in fact a very good sample of organized religion, and it was on subject, so I thought I might as well post it. In fact, none of those bands are actually "ANTI-CHRISTIAN", but I just really like the word contra, so I thought I might as well throw it in... >.> Oh well, I consider him sort of... Industrial / Goth Metal -ish.
a good christian band is Blindside they're mainly rock but some songs have classed them with metal oh and about Manson.....he rules i love his music
Ha, I like that Dementia, "Bible Metal Listener". And I will keep what you said in mind. MaDDoG, here are some Chrsitian Metal Bands that I can think up off the top of my head, check a few of them out..... As I Lay Dying August Burns Red Becoming The Archetype Burden Of A Day (A little more screamo to tell the truth) The Chariot Demon Hunter The Devil Wears Prada Disciple (older metal) Haste The Day He is Legend (some of it....not all) Living Sacrifice Nodes of Ranvier Norma Jean Symphony In Peril Twelve Guage Valentine (some of it....not all) Underoath (Old underoath...the very first 2...maybe 3 albums) Thats just a few of them, if you want to hear more, let me know and I will let you know of some more.
