ummm... emo is just a word to describe someone that is "emotional". might not want to sound sterotypical.

    Hmm... You dont get it:p

    Here:

Emos are just sensitive poeple, with a great personality! They love music and cultures. Adore going to shows and if you can find one as a boyfriend you have it made, cause they'll do just about anything for you. They are some of the sweetest people ever. They say cheesy things that'll make your heart melt and when you call at 1 in the morning crying because your cat just died, they'll be over in a heart beat.
At school they laugh and hang out with lots of people, they are not loners in the corner moping and crying about their life. They're out to enjoy every moment of it. They do not cut themselves, at least not all of them, that's most a fake rumor. It's like saying that all teens smoke..
Some write poetry, because they like to, it's a hobby.
They wear tight jeans, studded belt. Stripes of all sorts or a tight band shirt. Chucks or vans on their feet. Black nails or clean. A ring or two. The classic emo haircut with bangs over their eyes and darkened, possibly to the point of black. Piercings, one or two facial. Nose, eyebrow, that sorta thing. Often have eyeliner.

Emos complain about being generalized and stereotyped, and you just generalized every one of them. Congratz on being a poser emo.

Labels suck. You don't need to be 'emo' to be a nice person, and in all honesty most of the 'emo' kids around where I live are assholes.

Be who you are, not a label.

And also, way to completely stereotype.

Emo is a style created by hot topic and MTV to reflect upon songs that involve sad emotions being reflected through music, it was popular in the late 70s, and through the 80s, and then went away a bit, and then came back when a few bands were made mainstream...

Its not short for emotional, it doesnt mean the person who is an emo is a depressive, it doesnt mean they have self pity, etc.

As for me being emo, no, I am not. I just kind of dress in w/e is on the floor and is clean lol, sometimes im goth, sometimes im prep, sometimes im skater, sometimes im wigger, etc. just varies on what i find on the ground...

Well, I'm in the environment. And I think I know best myself how I'm like.

    I don't want to sound sterotypical :/

also... people say that they hate emo music but seriously all music has emotions so emo music is just put with a different tempo and different sounds behind it.
