well I'm guess i have to wait till factory direct re stocks because I have classes to attend during the day. Anyways I'm going to buy a radeon 9800 since it has the best reviews and everyone recommends it. Thanks guys
i'd advise getting an x800GTO if possible. or a 7600GS. or an x700 or a 6600GT in that order. 9800, well... as of now it is 3 generations old. ATi has the xseries, the x1000 series and they have the upcoming x2000 series(which the chip in the xbox 360 is based off of) 9800 isn't that great.
if agp: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/cat...e.asp?CatId=318 if pci-e: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/cat....asp?CatId=1558 (pci-e only) X800gto: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...7973&CatId=1560
ok the X800 looks much better and it can play all the games I want to play on good detail. The price isnt bad and its PCI. So it looks like I'll get the Radeon X800. Thanks guys
omg, futureshop seems like the worst store in the whole planet! GeForce 6200 256MB AGP Video Card for $199.99
yes I know but I most likely have a PCI-E because I saw it saw PCI-E bus on my system but just to make sure I'm going to bring my computer to a computer tech and make him check for me. Btw I'm still going to get the Radeon X800
Ive done it on CPU-z and it said I was on a PCI-E bus but I'm still going to make sure by taking the computer there plus hes the one installing the graphic card for me.
having a PCI-e slot changes your situation entirely FYI. why pay them 20$ to install a card? seriously? that's like 400$ an hour(assuming installation takes 5 minutes, realistically it takes less) also radeon x800 is so-so I was referring tot he x800GTO which is a diferent card. and i just checked, the PCI-e x800GTO just went up like 30$ to like 120ish at that price you'de be better off buying a 7600GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130073 or if you want to stretch it a little the 7900GS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814150208 to be honest, I'd probably get the 7600GS because it is cheaper and because the rest of your system is so-so enough as to not warrant spending extra(you'de be CPU bottle necked). Also the 7900GS uses mroe power and your poor PSU probably wouldn't be able to handle it well.
Ok go should I get the geforece 7600 GS or Radeon x800GTO. Is it true I need a dvd drive cause I dont. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...2163&CatId=1558 But I need a card that wont burn up my computer or suck to much power away.
