I need to know this because I am currently struggling on my ISU report due next week and I have not read any books in a while.

    So this is the question:
Compare your novel thematically with another novel of your choice. Example: compare how the particular authors develop a theme similarly or differently.

I am not that very good at english so bear with me..

I have 2 books here that are thematically similar in most ways: such as the main idea, the theme and etc. But the problem is describing the differences between the book in terms of theme of which the author developed. What am i suppose to say? am i suppose to say that each author wrote their books differently in terms of characters? events? plot? If true i can do this easily but the thing that catches me from doing so is that I have the compare it THEMATICALLY, meaning the main idea or message. This is quite hard for me since if the 2 books are similar in almost every way. how can i do this?

Please help! How can i write this ISU without having this kind of problem!!!!

You can nit pick at every little difference, if they are that similar.

example: If one author uses this guys girlfriend for the main support of the protagonist and the other uses his brother instead.

Because both characters(brother and girlfriend) are someone close to the main character, but they are two different books.. or something :D
