For a GPU and a monitor to work together they both need to be either DVI-I>DVI-I or DVI-D>DVI-D, correct? And are there adapters for this?

    This should explain:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVI-I

Just read down about. Mostly when you buy a new GPU which has 2 DVI slots, they'll include converters to analoge VGA.

Is Analog VGA the one that uses the D-SUB Connector? And wouldnt I get better performance ou of DVI? Or am I completely confused here?

But what if the video card has DVI-I and the monitor has DVI-D connector? Is there an adapter for that?
