hahaha... already seein horde calling alliance pansy's but its actualy true. the paladin class is the most annoying class in the game, thats for sure. omgz, stunned, devine shield, hearth.. its like. ...
Best Races (IMO, and I am a horde player) and not for looks, for stats, and it varies by Spec, and PvP or PvE. Undead - Good for PvP on all classes, Will of the Forsaken is huge for another way to dispel fear, and cannibalize is really nice to have for PvE. I like undead on casters who have trouble grinding and keeping life up sometimes, as well as people who plan on soloing for a vast majority of the game. Tauren - Good for warriors. The ability to stun 5 enemies in an 8 yard radius can help quite a bit to get in a few extra hits to pull aggro. The +15 Herbalism is also key for Shamans or Druids who often take Herbalism / Alchemy for their professions (as taurens are the only ones who can pick certain things, and Alchemy can help in all circumstances). The additional health is also a huge gain. Orcs - The stun resistance is also great for PvE warriors, and for hunters/warlocks, the pet damage % increase is very nice. The fury isnt exactly nice unless you are soloing alot, but in groups it can cause to hurt you far more than it helps, and the axe bonus helps a little, but most axes are more DPS geared than tanking geared, which is what PvE warrior SHOULD be looking for. Trolls - Their 10% increase to regen, ability to fast cast and fast hit, added damage to beasts (which there are ALOT of), and bonus to throwing and bows make them ideal hunters or rogues, for PvE or PvP. My personal preferences are: Warrior - Tauren Warlock - Undead Rogue - Troll Hunter - Troll Mage - Undead Shaman - Tauren Druid - Can only be Tauren Priest - Unlike other classes, you get spells based on race if your a priest, so for damage (shadow spec) go Undead, for healing (holy or disc) go Troll. Its really down to personal preference, how you play, and what you wanna get out of the game. What I recommend is to make 1 of each class that seems interesting to you, of any race, and then level those to level 20-24 and see which class you like playing best, then make a new character with each race that has the class, and then level those to level 20 and see which racial traits you like more, then use that for your first character.
Mages and Warlocks are the top 2 damage casters in the game. Mages do alot of up front damage quickly, and exhaust their mana fast, and warlocks do alot of damage over longer periods of time and can keep their mana up.
Mages are very fast levelers, they also have the best area of effect spells in the game (and the only class with more than 2 of them, i believe). They have the longest range in the game, and they can cause some serious up front damage. With AoE grinding (when you hit the same monsters in an area over and over again), you can hit 5-6 of them of your level or 1-2 higher and kill them all without getting a single scratch, so you level like crazy, and you have the ability to create their own health and mana stuff to regen with. They arent THE best soloers though, if you want an easy run, Hunters are the best soloers, and very easy to get the hang of, and warlocks can or cant be great soloers varying on which talent spec you choose to be (demon spec = love for living a long time, and letting your pets own it up). All classes are good in their own way. The only class I truly see as being inferior under all circumstances but being able to hold aggro are warriors. All other classes are good and bad varying on how well you can use them. Also, all of them are very adaptable to how you play, and the learning curve is GREAT in WoW, you will learn how to use your character if your the one who plays from 1-60, and be a good player (generally).
go mage. easier to level, funner to level, great for farming later on, great for helping friends in instances (like dungeons with items, quests etc).. warlocks are fine, but slower for the newby to wow.
Cheers dem for all the info i think i will be mage seeing as it seems the easiest for a newbie to WoW.
I just sold my warlock account for $300+ on ebay. Warlocks are easier to level then mages, stronger for most needed areas of the game, and definitely easier to make money with. Having several different functioning pets really adds to their ability where mages need to depend on their Burst Damage and high dps spells... but after all they are squishy... aka cloth wearer with low life and will be dominated quickly when the numbers pile up without a priest.
Warlocks shouldnt have low life... The only thing a warlock has on a mage is that they can last longer if the enemy is more overpowering, with spells like dark pact, drain life, and healthstones. Having played both a high level warlock and a high level mage from level 1, I will still say mages are far easier, and far funner to level up, and much more specific (as in talent specs). A warlock can do a little bit of everything (my current build is a 7/21/21+2), where mages tend to go heavy in 1 branch and light in another branch (traditional being a +31 and +20, or +30 and +21). Also, in end game circumstances, warlocks are mainly used as batteries, where mages actually get to do something worthwhile.
mages are easier to level than warlocks, please dont ever state otherwise. and yes, end game.. mages are gonna do massive dps on the charts, although i'd prolly PVP abit anyway. and as for leveling, aoe grinding as a mage is awesome.
