Just dont smoke. I smoked for 13 years, at least a pack a day for most of that time, I have tried pills, patches everything. They way I quit, see your father die of cancer and have to take care of them while they die, makes it alot easier to quit when you actually see the effects is has on the body first hand. Best bet, just dont smoke, easy and effective. The hardest part is the first 3 days, it also gets easier after that.
Yeah, I seen My grandpa die from it. But it didn't really effect my smoking for long. I did stop after that, but when I started going out again to the bars and such, the old habit just came creeping back. And yes, those first 3 days are a bitch.
i saw that on king of the hill... this is hwo you really quit though. tell you're parents qand have them lock you in a small room for a week without any way of escape
some advices i heard from a psychologist who helps people to stop smoking: a good way to stop smoking would be to change your habits... when/where did you use to smoke? change that. use patches if you want, they dont guarantee success, but they help. when you feel like lighting a cig, it is because you are facing a certain situation, try to fix that situation and you wont need to have a cig... (lonely? go out. depressed? play a game...)
