Whenever we log on to the computer now we get several messages that pop up for example:

-When we open IE it says there is a problem with internet explorer and it has to close

-When we try to get into My Computer it says there is a problem with Windows explorer and it has to close

-Another thing came up about Winlogon.exe

-Another one that had this message "Implements the NT service that starts the server has encountered a problem and needs to close"

As I am on the internet now the Windows Explorer needs to close down message keeps coming up but if I click Don't Send the error report it will let me keep using it.

Someone came over and we did a search for it on another computer and it came up with a trojan called Keppler. I have scanned with nortans, installed and scanned with Spybot and I also did a scan with Ad-Aware SE. Also it does not let me type adresses in the URL bar, to get to sites now I have to search from the search bar on our home page then click on a link to get there.

The problem is better now than yesterday but what we can do with the computer now is very limited. I have tryed just about everything I can think of but I can't get rid of it. Does anybody know how I could fix this?

    Thanks. :)

I wouldnt say its a "Trojan" Winlogon.exe is something all windows computers have. If you have to just install a anti-virus program(I have mcafee) make sure you have a dependable firewall. Overall dont download to much things it could end up having a trojan. As for IE just use firefox. Safer, Faster, Better.

Its winlogon that the trojan stops or whatever so it dosn't work properly. I have firewalls and up to date antivirus software. The actual trojan is called Keppler or somthing I think.

Yeah that'll work but be warned, it will take much longer.

What button do you press to get that menu to choose safe mode when it's loading. Also, when this person was here he tried going into Safe Mode but it wouldn't load.

Once I get in there do I just do a scan like usual?

Not really, it'll go much faster because in safe mode nothing else will be running.
