well haven't done any research on this yet. But i was watching a stock market channel and they were talking about the sales growth, and the plan to make their variety of products more. If you think about it, they started out as a computer company and weren't too successful, but when the ipod hit, thats when sales for their company boasted. Now they are thinking about making a phone, which i think is just ingenious because they could incorporate one of the best mp3 player/phone combo that any1 has. And as seeing they basically live in the shadow in Microsoft in most cases and and major competitor in others. I thought what next...what next, the only major electronic that came to mind was a gaming console, i think it would be pretty successful not this generation, but the next generation consoles as it is probably too late to compete. do any of you agree? or know where they should go next?
I'd laugh to see the ibox or icube or whatever silly name they could call that thing. Though having it fully integrate with ur ipod might have its advantages.
Apple probably won't anytime soon. The market is already saturated with three companies. Plus MS right now has the best online streamlined service which Apple would probably have a hard time beating, and Apple doesn't commit unless they can win.
Knowing Apple they would change how you play video games completley, but that would be interesting to see.
sony wasn't a big company... untill their Walkman blew up and made them a ton of money... if you think about it.... apple making a console will follow sony's "portable music player to video game company" style
if they did it then we would prob b seeing virtual reality stuff .. which sounds sweet ... they virtually revolutionised music players so if they do make a console they'd make it pretty sweet ... and the iCube or iBox actually sounds like good names ^_^
i don't see them going all too far... unless they could slap osx onto it. cheep core duo + r600 based GFX=win, and ti would still be useabel as a PC. That is marketable...
bungie used to develop games (marathon) only for apple/mac.... even halo was planned to go on a apple in the early years... so obviously there are some devolopers who see/saw the poetential of using apple's system.
The Apple iPlay. Plays downloadable games (like 3d tetris, and Bubsy 3d), and is also able to play about 1/6 of all microsoft Xbox360 games. Comes with adobe photoshop included. I would seriously lol
