Sorry to say that IGN gave it an average of 71, the second lowest score they give after Playstation. And why shouldn't we complain about the sloppy job they made? They delayed the launch date a whole damn year for godsakes. They are probably too damn cheap to hire people to play their own console. Sony should take a leaf out of Nintendo's book because they rarely have any bugs or glitches with their products.
yes, but you should make your initial descision to buy one shortly after launch as opposed to later on after it's been tested more based almost solely on those titles PS3 has had more delays and set backs than any other mainstream console in a long time. It might have th best paper specs, but real world performance is what matters and I don't see it doing as well in the real world as the xbox 360, and then there is the price premium. I'm giving the PS3 six months before I abandon all hope in it as a console. IMO it makes a better linux-PC than a console.
the fact that hd doesnt work on some older hd televisions? and their has been alot news about the ps3 just crashing and dieng
O rly ? That's new to me  But HD doesn't necessarily include 1080i or flatscreen. My regular 15 year old 100Hz tv was also considered 'HD' back when I bought it. 480i resolution if I'm not mistaking. I don't see how HD simply "doesn't work" You shouldn't be able to notice anything in terms of playback. Rather your tv just not supporting it. It's not Sony's fault you can't get full HD on old televisions. In fact you should be very carefull when buying a tv. I know for a fact a lot of stores lable a tv 'HD Ready' when it in fact can not handle full HD. I heard that the unfinished Ps3 consoles at E3 crashed but I can't find anything about actuall recent crashes. I have heard about Ps3's that don't give video output or have a broken disc loader, wich are replaced within 3 to 5 business days. But I can't say that I have read anything so far about systems actually crashing and dieing. It's not impossible to happen, but not on large scale. I'm assuming that if it has allready happened it was an isolated case. Else I would probably be able to find it on the first 5 to 10 pages on google.
actualy a few videos on youtube of peoples playstations dying (same way that xbox's do) the red light comes on, and is no longer able to turn on - something along those lines. this isnt guarantee'd to happen, obviously.. but it isnt a nice feeling when you're out to purchase one. but hey, anything can break..
ill try get 1. im on 56k, and everything is so slow.. ill edit it soon, sec. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVXzN7jCcRA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjAeKMyxt3I there u go dude
welll even though the PS3 has been like attacked by WII and Xbox and almost everyone else it still has my vote on best concsole ever... iv played it and its soo much fun and iv played the Xbox and i dont really like it too much and i havent had much time for the WII but the games for the WII aint my style
im sure the ps3 is lots of fun. be sure to try out the wii too, whether u like their style of games or not
I gave the PS3 a 7/10. You can read my review at gamefaqs http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps3/review/R107818.html
Why buying PS3 or Xbox360 or Wii? I mean, we all know that graphics are getting better after each consoles, but...personally, I don't freakin' care. What I want is the GAMEPLAY. I know they can do better graphics, I just want to see original concept. Like the Wii did. I didn't tryed it, but it looks pretty fun. And for the 360, the online gaming experience is really well organized. In my opinion, even if Xbox is my favorite console, the Wii will be the best!
