Hello, I need help w/ a graphics card.

This computer which I'm on has a Radeon 7000 so it's pretty old. I'll be getting a new one early in feb-march 2007, but, I need an okay graphics card.

It has to be around $100 and from here:

    futureshop.ca & bestbuy.ca

I'm in canada so I prefer those two b/c I can buy it easily then. I don't like buying online b/c of shipping and stuff.

I don't need an awesome graphics card. I'll be getting that for my new computer later on. Just an okay one now.

Oh and I think my motherboard is AGP.

7000? thats not that old, agp is rather old by itself...

get this until you get a better one:

    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...2448083&CatId=0

you can also get a 6600, if you game alot, bf2 takes it, but on low settings..

sorry about not staying with your two sites, but

    1. BestBuy is highly overpricing shipping, and putting their name on the box...

    2. sorry you dont like online ordering, but several of us have, and we didnt have many problems. if it is defective, you can always send it back for a replacement...

Will my computer run it? It has a 250W PSU b/c it's old. I just don't want it to overheat and ----.

My last HD used to overheat and crash so much so I took it out.

What about something like X1300 --- AGP. Saw it somewhere for like $120.

Two main things for me are that it should have nice gfx and that my PSU should run it.

most "good" graphic cards need more than 250 watts.

why do you need a new gfx card? is the 7000 not working?

if youre worried about power, then get a new psu instead, power problem solved..

Well if not good, a sufficient one.

7000 is good but the graphics is choppy and fps in games is low too.

I don't wanna spend a lot of money on this crappy PC. What about something like a ATI 9200? or 9600? Would they work?

Will they work on my computer though? I can post my specs from CPU-Z if you want. I have a 250W PSU btw.

And, graphics interface is AGP 2.0.
