i just made like this 40 layer tag, and was using the burn tool. so i goto the history, just to see my steps and all, and then i clicked on the sig, and all of the history went away so im left with just the green bg right when i started. OMFG.
that hasnt happend to me =] yet xP instead ill be almost done with a sig (i dont save till the end) and i smudge, then it breaks
What can I say, ---- happens when you party naked. Wait... no... that really doesn't apply here... And 40 layers on a signature isn't a lot of work. You can easily re-do that if you know what you did in the first place.

if u pressed undo b4 u changed anything it wud've went back and dementia i'd like to see you make a half decent tag with 40 layers and redo it
Its easy, I have had multiple tuts written on signatures of 50-60 layers that have crashed (I write my tutorials while I am in process of making the signature usually) the tutorial as well as the signature (talk about hours worth of work). Of course this was also before the whole 'lets all whore the same trend and put maybe 5-15 layers on a signature and call it complete' era of signatures, when stuff was still relatively diverse. Also, yes, I realize my current signature fits into what I said above, but thats where I am not a signature maker and I do large art and templates, which I generally make $1200 or so a month on doing casually. Oh, and have you ever had a forum skin or web template with over 300-400 layers crash on you? Yeah, I can guarantee using the same pixel width for each box, circle, gradients, etc. are far harder to recreate then a 40-50 layer signature that you've already seen the outcome of, or up to that point.
Same thing hasn't happened to me, but I know it's a bitch when PS crashes and doesn't let you save. Happened to me yesterday... twice.
