I heard from a friend that , that they pay what best buy pays for the product, or somethingl ike that. He todl me he could get some speakers for ~70 when they were originally ~120?? I forgot but it seems like a good discount. Only thing is that it kicks in after a month of working there.
I believe they make employees pay wholesale for their products. So usually what the company buys +5-10% so they can still make a little bit of profit, but not nearly as much as they mark it up for their customers.
Yeah, most of you are on the right track. To make it more simple: Our discount is what BestBuy pays to buy it to sell it.. aka, a $3,000 tv they buy for (example) $1,800.. That plus 5% added on that is the discount.. so like... $1,850 for a $3,000 tv? something like that.. I'm new, still trying to learn - though, what i said, i'm sure about.. just not the numbers.
That's cool man. Congrats on getting a seasonal job too. I applied to literally, four to five places and none of them responded. Kinda disappointing. Guess I'll go for the summer job then.
