I was wondering when all of you got your first job. I need to make a bit of cash so I was wondering when you started, what you were doing and how much you made if you don't mind
I just turned 13, so there's not much out there for me atm.
I'd like to do something with computers, but I suppose I'm too young.
I live in the UK, btw. And these jobs exclude a paper round

My first job was working in a garden.. when i was 13
I also did berrypicking when i was 14... NEVER EVER DO THAT ! worst job around tbh.

Wait till you're 16, and get a decent job then.

How much did you get paid, and how did you go about getting the job?

 

Have you asked your parents to pay you to do chores? Your not gonna find much jobs (I dont think) at the age of 13, beside yard work (mowing lawns, etc.) Maybe ask around if anyone has any computer problem that you could possibly fix to get some quick cash.

 

I asked my mom if she knew anyone who needed someone to do some chores..

It paid allright 40 euro's (more then 25 pounds) for 8 hours (allthough i nearly cut off my thumb)

My second job : Berrypicking.. SUCKT. I worked for 2 weeks (34 degrees every day) and only earned 40 pounds

At 13 no ----- company will hire you. Ask your mom/dad what you can do around the house to get you some extra money, or ask your family friends if they need their lawns mowed or need help gardening, etc. etc.

 

Ok, well my parents are short on money and apparently they won't pay me for anymore chores so I'll have to look around.

 

You wont get much at 13 from anyone other than your parents man...

 

at age 13 you should look into getting a job on a farm, the work is some bulls--- but when i was 13 i made 7.50$ an hour wich isnt that bad.

 

Part time at Chick-Fil-A with $6.25 an hour.

I am also 13 and live in the UK. I have found jobs not that easy, but thanks to the Internet it is possible to make £1000 as a 13 year old. I have done it but no one ever believes me except for my brother and parents of course which have the prove.

I started with some basic paper rounds, then I learnt a lot about coding and a tiny bit about graphics and started making websites and selling them off. If your good in graphics then you should maybe open your own GFX community if you have a bit of money to spend, then include ads extra and make a lot of money.

That might be a bit to much for you, there are to be honest not may other chances for good jobs at our age. If I find some more jobs our age groups can do then I will PM you.
