I used to be able to play my video files like mp4. and avi. on windows media player classic and on windows media player 11. but now I can't it just closes. I can only play them using quicktime. I used to play them all the time I don't know whats wrong. please help. ;(
you might have a codec problem, the programs are corrupt or you Defaulted them to quick time. Try uninstalling Quick time - if it doesn't do anything either reinstall WMP11 or install Codecs for them. Reinstalling WMP11 should give you basic codecs for MPeg Movies, Avi's and MP3's
I agree maybe a codec problem I would unistall any media players QT,MPC,WMP11 and codecs then reinstall them one at a time and see whats causing your problem. Have you installed anything recently?
yeah I tried playing the videos that I used to play before but they don't work. I dont' think that its a codec problem because usually the program would tell it was a codec problem. and when I used to play my videos on any other program like windows media player 11, I did have quciktime and the WMP 11 still let me play the videos. I will try to uninstall quicktime to see if that works. btw red alert nice sig the leonardo one where did you get that render? oh yeah and plus the players I'm trying to play the videos on are all Windows (ex. Window Media 11, and WM classic, and windows media center) can there be some kind of connection to that? Uninstalling quicktime didn't work, but let me try reinstalling the media player. Man nothings worked! I need help!
