Internet Not Be Detected

    heres my problem...

    My internet is being dectected buy any other program than firefox. I cant use msn or ie or anything else like using it on my desktop.
    Anyone got a solution?

    are you sure you cant get on at all? it may be that your nic blew...

    maybe he means that even if though he's connected to the internet, he can't go online at all, I have the same problem a while back.

    Restart your modem, router also if you have one.

    this is happening to me right now!


    I cant go on IE, and MSN dosent work

    Wha wha wha--- what? You may want to rephrase your post so it makes some sense; anyway Try the aforementioned suggestions and see if they work. If not, it could be a firewall issue, are you using any third party personal firewall software?

    how many data packets are going through? that would happen to me on my laptop and firefox uses less data packets then IE so that might be a problem. restart your modem / router and it should fix it or call your ISP. (liek that'll do anything ISP = ----)

    ive restarted both my router and modem about a million times

    Your firewall could be malfunctioning. If you've updated it recently, completely uninstall it and then see if it solves your issues. If it is the problem.....find another one to use.

    is this a desktop or a laptop? if its a laptop thjen update it and same if its a desktop.

    your software firewall, not your router hardware firewall..

    like i said i know its nothing wrong with my router becuase my dad's account works perfectly fine
