T.I.-King When T.I. first started in 2001, there wasn't a lot of controversy on his behalf. In fact, I had never heard of him until he released his hit single "Rubber Band Man" in 2003. His promotion really got him to where he is now, and is a very successful rap artist. Throughout his path, he released singles like "24's", "Be Easy", and a few from "King", such as "What You Know" and "Why You Wanna". I believe that his latest album is one of his best, featuring guest appearances by Young Buck, Young Jeezy, Common, and Jamie Foxx. "King" is a well produced album that would be enjoyable to Southern Rap fans. King features a bunch of unique songs, and most of them have different beats, production. On a similar note, the album was produced very well, featuring The Neptunes, Swizz Beatz, and Scott Storch. The album doesn't show a level of consistency, but I am satisfied overall. Some key tracks to listen to, are "King Back", "What You Know", "Live in the Sky", and "Ride Wit Me". The last track of the album, entitled "Bankhead", is a very strong finish to a great album, and one of my favorite songs on the CD, if not my favorite. Some songs to stay away from are "Stand Up Guy", "Told You So", and "Get It" might be a slight disapointment from Swizz Beatz. If you are in a good mood, you should listen to this album. I would probably call this TI's second best, with "Trap Muzik" coming in at First Place. What I like about this album is that T.I. doesn't decline in any of his songs. It seems like he put equal effort into each one, and it's up to you, the listener, to decide which songs you like the most. Pick this up if you are a fan of T.I., or a Southern Rap Fan.
