    1. Click start
    2. Run
    3. Type "cmd"
    A dos command window opens
    4. Type "ipconfig /release"
    5. Type "ipconfig /renew"
You should get a new ip, if not I can give you instructions on how to get a static ip.

Are you talking about your IP from your ISP or the IP from your router? If you want to change the IP from your ISP, disconnect the power from your modem for a few hours. And once you power it back on, you'll get a new lease on an IP from your ISP. If your talking about your router then we can give you a static ip, and I can give you instructions for that.

First click Start > Then click on My network places > Then on the left of the window click on view network connections > Then click on your LAN connections or Network Bridge connections > and you should get this:

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) > Then click on properties > & you should get this next:

Copy the exact same values. You can change the last 3 numbers of the very top values. Depending on your router you can go from 0 to 255.
