Font Problem With Photoshop Cs

i have photoshop cs ive recently wiped my harddrive and it got lost i had to get it again but now when ever you make a text box and select a font it crashes. its not just photoshop its image ready aswell

any ideas into why

its a bummer because i had quite a few banners made and can't put text onto them

 

Did you put the fonts back in the right file?

Re-download all your fonts.

Totally uninstall photoshop,

Put in the photoshop disk, and follow all instructions again.

 

first off, if you wiped your hard drive everything that was on it is entirely gone. there are no psds or anything left unless you backed it up onto a cd-r. 2nd if you are talking about fonts, you may need to reset ps or do what .shaun said.

 

tryed that before btw im using the free trial from adobe then with the serial code to get full etc so yeah ive uninstalled it then reinstalled and its still messed ima redownload completely to try that

 

well, wared-versions/serials do often mess up your psing pleasures...

 

this font problem works is photoshop cs2 aswell as cs so its not photoshop must be a problem with fonts. how can i reinstall the basic windows fonts? can it be sorted with a windows service pack or anything please help with this

btw photoshop cs2 dosen't load on my computer but imageready does so i wanna use cs instead
