Basically in 2029 if the aesteroid passes through a gap of space that is roughly 610 meters wide called the keyhole, then on its second approach on 2036 it will hit. The chance it passes through the keyhole right now is about 1 in 48000 (this will be revised alot) but optical observations of it are difficult until about 2007 to 2011 when we can more accurately plot its orbit. thx alot cuz now i know when and how im gonna die u ruined the surprise u should b ashamed of urself lol @ pic
Let me get this straight.. IF in 2029 it passes through a 610 meter wide gap Then there a 1 in 48000 chance of it hitting earth? And what exactly are the chances of this asteroid passing through a 610 meter gap? This gap is roughly double the size of the asteroid, and since it alters the path would likely mean that it would have to pass 100% through to be able to change it enough. You know those circus games that you can't win at? It's like that.. Now the Russians have said they are prepared to destroy an asteroid on a collision course with earth.
Hahaha the pic Quite scary to think about though, if it did hit... Millions of years, just gone in 1 second
