Alright, just got my 360 and Gears Of War. I got the core edition as I didn't want most of the stuff on the other one. I am a bit dissapointed though. I beleive it comes with 512 Mb built in memory, however, I find it stupid that you can't use the memory to save your game process. Instead you have to spend yet another $50 for a 512 Mb card. I spend $450 on the system, game, warranty, and another controller. So all of a sudden that PS3 isn't looking to expensive with it's 20 GB Hard drive. When you throw that memory card in it comes out to the PS3 price. I dunno though, I like it but does anyone else find it stupid that you cant use that memory?
I think that memory is used for operating system or something...but anyways if gears of war was on ps3 too that would be awesome PS...so i guess teh ps3 doesnt look overpriced huh?
To be honest if the Ps3 wasn't already sold out and I didn't have to wait forever for it to be available again.. I would have bought it instead. But I also like Halo and will probobly buy that too.
Yeah but say you buy the 500 or 600 dollar version of the PS3 and then the games, cables, warranty and that 500 or 600 gets a lot higher. If anything I'd advise going back and buying the premium 360 bundle. You basically get a controller, and cables for free and then don't have to buy a memory card. Either way if you have Live you'll want an HD since the exclusive demos, themes, and what not that come out on Live. And the 512 MB of ram would not hold anything in terms of demos, saves, and whatnot. That memory is like the running memory of a computer or a videocard; used only for running the games.
I didn't want the premium because I probobly wont play online. I just play with my friends and brother. Besides I have an HD Tv so the graphics look even better.
The price got you eh? you went and bought the Core system..great deal? not if your a gamer..the Prem is what you want..If you spend the $500 for the 360 prem you get: 3 Xbox Live 1 month memberships All the cables (HD-TV included) + ethernet cable A wireless controller and headset Offer to get 3month subscription and 1250 MS points A 20GB hardrive with promos on it(Music, movies) and PGR3 So its totaly worth the money, everything you need is right there for $500, a movie system and gaming. So the core is cheaper but not in the long run. I am a proud and happy owner of my Xbox 360 Premium. Hope that helps. and btw GoW OWNS!
The core is $100 on amazon soon(woot). Im buying that, then selling it for about $250 on ebay. Then a place near my house is selling the prem for $300. Woot
