Well you could always try the free route. I am trying it through a site that according to EGM, works. They tried it with an Xbox 360 and they received a legitimate one.

    http://ps3s.freepay.com/

Anyways, I already have a 360 and doing this was basically a personal test to see if it really does work. It would be kind of cool if it did. :P

Well, I say good luck to you. ^_^

Edit: Removed some stuff regarding referral info due to mod hinting at it. ^_^

Heyy EFX, trust me on this one, you don't want to get the PS3 just yet.
Normally when Sony produces their first product, it always contains defects. In short, look at the Play Station 2, when it first came out, it was huge, the new PS2 is thinner, the specs are definetly better, not to mention even cheaper.
Sony is purposly jacking the prices knowing Christmas is coming up, it's all business. But the specs aren't too bad for the PS3, blue ray disk technology, PS2 game capability.

Good luck with this either way. :)

a different type of system since the ps3 is basically the same as 360.

graphics and game titles wise 360 and ps3 will have a difference. graphics might be the same as of now, but will make a difference later on when the systems are fully utilized. ps3 aint expensive for nothing

After watching many diff vids and specs on the ps3.. It isnt all that it's put up to be. The only thing is that it has a larger HD. The gfx is exactly the same I've seen a ps3 game.. The gfx on GoW are actually better than most ps3 games tbh. The first bunch will be freezing and have more bugs than the 360 did, so imo for $200 less you'll be recieving the better system. So that's why I'm sticking to my 360.

uhhh lol the ps3 will be alot better when evrything gets on track, blue ray has so much more potential people dont realize the advantage to it, fear of change makes people bleive otherwise about blue ray, just wait, blue ray is the next gen of gaming. Quote me on that.

Blueray.. Let's see most dvd companies arent going to sue ti becuase it cost too much to produce so there goes dvd playing for the ps3 and ps2 games are also out of the questiion so blueray sitn really an advantage

people aren't realizing that when they're (meaning Sony) are selling these Playstation 3's at $500-$600, they're losing on average $100-$200 per unit, due to the equipment that has been put into the systems, like the blu-ray dvd capabilities, which actually can go for $1000 alone. When the Xbox 360 came out, Microsoft was losing, on average, $20 per unit, so go figure, who'll be the big winner here?

That's the situation at this moment, who's to say it'll be that way in 5 years?

Think about what you are saying. The power and potential of both the PS3 and the 360 is astronomical. Yes you are right when you say they have not harnessed the full power but you are also wrong where you say Blu-Ray will ultimately win out. First of all, standard DVDs just became widely used within the past 5 years and before that it was almost 20 years before they were first introduced. Now Blu-Ray and HDDVD are coming into play only 5 years later just when people are getting DVD players. Personally, I think both new formats are going to do horribly for the first couple of years simply because standard DVDs are much more common and less expensive. Then as time progresses, I would have to say that HDDVD will win as it is cheaper than Blu-Ray even though Blu-Ray is more durable and more efficient.

Technologically, the PS3 is statistically supposed to be better but it is also very hard to develop games because of the different configurations. This presents many problems to developers and until an efficient and universal method is come across, I don't think you will see any differences. Also, even when this method is found, I still don't think there will be much differences as the power of both systems is pretty equivalent and they can each render is HD which will basically make the graphics looks phenomenal no matter what. The greatest difference you might see is maybe a higher pixel count on some objects but thats probably going to be it.
