Norton sometimes doesn't detect viruses properly. That's just my opinion.

Did you try a spyware scanning? It's always good to try other virus scanners like NOD32 and Kasperky. Personally, I don't like or trust Norton.

that isnt your opinion, thats a fact...

get avg or avast, not norton..

also, it might be your power supply...

remember just because you wasted a lot of cash on a PC doesn't mean it's good(alienware is still a notch above your typical OEM PC but they aren't perfect)

my first guesse is the pwoer supply, my second would be - well anything, could be a bad motherbaord bad graphcis card, bad RAM, or a bad CPU.

Alienwares are VERY over rated pc's, a big waste of money tbh, get a XpS, they are very efficient and cost effective

    Actually, they aren't..
If your water coolant was spilling onto your motherboard it would be fried and wouldn't even start up if I'm correct. $5000 on a pc isn't even worth it either. You could get an amazing PC for that.

probably true in terms of efficiency, but cost effectiveness is questionable. XPS use an inferior cooling system a weaker power supply and a weaker motherboard.

if I'm not mistaken, you are capable of overclocking alienware chips
that means you could buy a chip and run it higher than the highest chips at a small fraction of the cost. you cna actually get a more cost efficient system from alienware if you're a more advanced user, though most advanced users shy away due tot he obvious price gouginging. Dell is worse, though as their XPS 700 systems cost effectively the same amount but are more limited.
