in my school districts Cs get you the extra point. also GPA sin't based on percents here its on grade. i beleive the idea is that the teacher can scale up the dificulty of the class and change the grade scale as needed. EG- in calc virtrually no partial credit is given. A good grade ona test is right around 50% but the class average is a B.
