I second that notion, it's totally reasonable.

Murder without legitimate reason should be life.
If you take a life away, you do not deserve a life.

How would you feel putting someone to death if they were wrongfully accused?

How would you feel knowing that for the rest of your life?

What do you think is more pain and suffering? A quick lethal injection, or a 40 year period of time in jail.

Now the whole point of the criminal system is rehabilitation, not to punish people. Don't belive me? ASK ANY PRISON WARDEN!

Now if EXPERT psychologists think that the person is still dangerous after 40 years, bam thier in jail for life. If they think that he is suitable for release, and in rare cases this could be the case, he can apply for a parole hearing.

First of all, shaun, i don't want to start a discussion about the deathpenalty or wrongfully accusasing. In this case they know they are the murderers.

Thats bull---- and you know it is. In my province (kind of like a state) somebody raped and abused his sister. He got jailed for 2 years (which is ----ing pathetic), after he got released he raped and abused 3 other girls. Please explain to me how the ---- that can happen ?

Also, I think prison should be a punishment. Why can't you be punisht for something as horrible as rape, murder, etc.

If someone murdered/raped/abused family member or a friend of mine , i'd like to see that person suffer a really painfull death. You wouldn't ?

Can the murdered person apply for parole ? Can they get their life back after 40 years? NO. So why the ---- should he ?

How would you feel putting someone to death if they were wrongfully accused?
Bad. But seeing rapists and murderers getting the deathpenalty would make up for it.

What do you think is more pain and suffering? A quick lethal injection, or a 40 year period of time in jail.
Have you seen prisons over here?
They have seperate jails for rapists and murderers. They get a shower, bath, a tv, internet acces, clean bed, clean clothes, Pool table, etc. Better then most normall houses.

No they don't have expert psychologist's right now, but I'm saying they should..

They have something like it... Look at the faint hope clause, and the dangerous offenders act.

So you're saying that innocent people should die so murders can be put to death?

Okay, yea, thats true, Canada does have nice jails.... have you ever been inside one? People get raped there, it's not like a ----ing nice apartment.

take someone else's life then i think you should lose your life, whether that be the death sentence or life in jail. Life in jail is better if you ask me because it makes them suffer more. However because of politically correctiveness we can't do that.

Thanks for turning my words around :)

So you're saying that innocent people should die so murders can be put to death?
I didn't say that. I said, if 1 innocent person got killed and 3000 guilty people got killed, the 3000 guilty would make up for 1 innocent.

Okay, yea, thats true, Canada does have nice jails.... have you ever been inside one? People get raped there, it's not like a ----ing nice apartment.
I'm not talking about the prisons in canada. I'm talking about the prisons over HERE. Read my post before you start whining.

    Couldn't of said it better.

Where exactly is here, and there are not that many people convicted of a crime they would have gotten the death penalty for.

Not to mention the death penalty doesn't deter people from murdering, yet Im sure 40 years in solitary would.

Well they don't have death penalty in Belgium so we aren't really discussing an alternitive for it.

And that's why it's wrong. It SHOULD be about punishing people. Not about treating THEM as the victims that should be helped.
