You have made me very happy on my dad's part just to read what you have typed out. You are a great guy and rep(+) for you.
It's not that I don't respect the military at all, I just disagree with respecting them because they are the military. The fact that they have to follow the policies of others is one of the reasons I personally wouldn't join, but I don't disrespect them for it. And yes, they do and should always have the right to absolutely hate me and people who disrespect them. They should have the right to hate someone for any reason, but they do not and should not have the right to show that contempt by causing harm. On the other side, I absolutely disagree with people being able to spit on others, or burn flags, etc. It should be classed as assault to spit on someone without their consent (hey, it could happen), and burning a country's flag is completely stupid and I don't think you can take the words of somebody who would burn/trash a national symbol seriously at all. It's ignorant and plain ----ing dumb. I was just trying to get across that I do not respect the military because they are the military. I personally know people who have/wish to join the military because they are racist ----s or they hate themselves, etc. I respect people who fight for their family or rights, even though they may have much to lose, and because they are willing to do something that I am not, (through both fear for my life and other, more personal reasons) without an ulterior motive. Also, hating Bush, etc. for (and I'm not saying they do) wanting oil is like hating doctors for being paid more than they need to survive. They're still doing good for many people.
Make it better for them? I have been to Iraq several times since America's invasion and I have been there before the war. Trust me my family was happier with Saddam in power. Thoose Marines arent protecting my freedom, they are accomplshing the imperalistic and economic goals of there rich-run goverement. Rebel, think about it, what was the feul for this war on terror? 9-11. Iraq didnt even attack us, nor had wmd's (the US has alot of these but you dont see us destryoing them) We went in there for economic reasons, and to set-up a American puppet country and goverement in Iraq. Risking there lives??? Yeah, I guess but you have to realize, he signed up he gave a oath to follow the commands of his commanders which he knew would mean to shoot and kill. You may find it disgusting for people to crictize the military but I find it disgusting to see more people being totured and killed by American troops.
Should we kill people for killing people to make a statement to not kill? NO The war in Iraq has nothing to do with our freedom. Bush was just delusional. He's an idiot.
LMFAO Your Family was happier when Saddam was in Power? No Offence but what were they thinking? Saddam is a Suicidal Maniac. He deserves to die. Actually I take that back he deserves to be tortured for what he did to everybody and their families. Saddam deserves to be hit in the nuts about 10000000000000 times until they are black, red, purple, blue, yellow, and green. He deserves to be cut up and thrown in a pool full of Pirhannas.
"We will not stop until we blow the White House up" - Al Qaeda HMMMM I wonder where they were flying that plane on 9-11 when the customers defended theirselves to save the lives of othr because they were true Americans and they believe in what they livee for.
That was said very recently in a video obtained actually, but it does not change the fact the force is justified if they are "WILL NOT STOP" I dont think Saddam was a direct threat to bush, but what does that have to do with 9/11? There has been NO proven conection.
Also realize though that just because alqueda are based in Afghanistan doesn't mean Iraq was a hot bed for terrorist activity. If the terrorists lose Iraq in terms of being able to network and gather supplies there then that is a critical blow to their movement. Yes they are based in Afghanistan but Iraq undoubtedly was a good country to find supplies in. Take away their supply route and you've hurt their movement and made it easier to finally take them down in their base of operations. True Iraq is just one country, and no doubt there will be other outlets for the terrorists to gather supplies but atleast we have a big supplier out of the picture, under our terms.
Very shrewd analysis. Have anything to back up the fact that he is an idiot? Me, I've heard everything from him being on PCP while on the job to being stupid simply because he looks like a chimp to some. Never once have I heard any fact behind this. So he doesn't speak well; he lived in Texas most of his life. Most people in Tennessee, where I live, don't speak very well either. When I went to California over summers to visit family, I got funny looks all over the place just because of the accent. It's a common stereotype that Southerners are stupid because of the accent; I'll admit, it sounds pretty stupid. Cartoons don't help, either. Hell, most of the people on this site don't speak very well, use proper grammar, spell correctly, or even express thoughts clearly. You're singling out Bush for that (not you, just a general statement)? How is he delusional? He saw a threat in Iraq in Saddam. Apparently, so did Congress, seeing as they happened to approve of us going to war. Personally, I think we should've done away with Saddam back in 1991, when we wouldn't go to Baghdad because Saddam wouldn't grow some balls. Nothing changed after the 1991 war except the Iraqis were out of Kuwait. Albeit, it was the stated goal of the UN resolution that let us over there to kick them out of Kuwait and nothing more, but there could have been a lot more done that wasn't. My point is that if you're going to attack someone's character, even the President's (who seems to have become the scapegoat for all the world's problems as of late), back it up with something other than "omg he's stupid lol."
I agree with what Ferret is saying. If you don't have the documents, video clips or Pictures to back it up then just stay out.
Lol, happier when Saddam was in power? Wow, must have been on his good side. Anyways, no we went over there because there was evidence of weapons of mass destruction, I still think that there are some over there. Even if not, it's just some wrong information. It isn't like Bush made the intelligence himself. He got word of a threat and tried to make that threat go away, he made the right decision. The only thing done wrong, was whoever gave him the information about the Weapons.
Have you ever been to Iraq? No. Beofre america's invasion, there were atrocies and such but the country was stable. There wasnt black-outs, people had water. They could go to the Market, go pray, go to the mosque. But now they live in fear, crappy water, my uncle saw a 5 years old whose dad got shot at the market right infront of the son, it was sad. Saddam was horrible and I am glad to see he is gonna die, but life was better under him. You do realize, bush and the us/uk goverement has recongized Iraq didnt have WMD's. Bush fabricated evidence to gain support for Iraq.
