Thank you very much, and who knows, in 10 years time, New yorkers will be saying please and thank you, opening doors and helping out people.
k sorry. Eit: No prob morv. Also new yorkers should say please and thank you. U know how its like there right, u know what I mean.
you should've said please -if i ask someone to do something i probably wouldn't say 'please', but if they did what i asked then i would say 'thank you'. so, i'm half way there -also, if i do something for someone else, i don't do it expecting them to say thank you to me
I think those two basic phrases are great, seriously when I worked at a store most customers were pushy, rude etc...but you know "customer is always right" But when one would say thank you to me after I helped them it made up for all the jerks I dealt with. Anyway I use "please" and "thank you" probably daily, just today when I went through a drive-thru I think I said thank you like...4 times or something  . I guess people don't realize that saying these short phrases may take more air and time out of your day, but it can make a world of difference to someone.
I use them. I don't know if the world could become a better place if everyone did. After all, not saying anything at all is still faster then quickly saying 'thank you' or 'please' I'm afraid.
I realised this like a few months ago... but yeah it's a very good thing to do actually. It's a shame not many people realise that nowadays =\
