I dont meant the continental realm, i mean the whole setting of it, your like a squire starting off, and your working your ranks up in a military kind of way, like your character itself is training himself to become a better swordsman, etc. Yes, Ivalice is the realm that the game took place in in FFT (one of my favorite games in the FF series btw lol) And you can run without being slaughtered... on the sewers in the beginning when you have to fight that bounty hunter after balthier most of my characters were dead and i only had basche left in the part, so i ran the entire time, never even came close to dying and hit atleast 25 enemies along the way back to the town and out of the ruins.
lol dude, let me just get everyone stright. FINAL FANTASY IS NOT A SERIES The games are not linked, they are all stand-alone games. Square-enix made "Final Fantasy" because thats what it was, their final fantasy...they were going out of business. When the game sold tons of copies they were brought back to make more. So basically all the games are just named the same, it's like if you took all of the games made from "EA" and named them all "EA game 1" and so on. Anyways, now that im done with that...this game is amazing. The battle system takes a bit getting used to and Vaan remindes me way too much of Tidus but it's still fun ^_^
When you put it that way,it seems it was my fault for misunderstanding. Sorry  Congratulations. Do you feel smarter now? "Sakaguchi had plans to retire after the completion of the project so he named it Final Fantasy because it was his final game, although it was also going to be Square's final game. In fact, it's commonly believed that the game was named Final Fantasy because of Square and not Sakaguchi, although Sakaguchi himself has confirmed it was named because of his plans for retirement. Either way, Final Fantasy turned out to be far from Square's or Sakaguchi's last game. Final Fantasy reversed Square's lagging fortunes, and became their flagship franchise." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy I really don't see what gets getting used to. It's the same as in all FF games, except now you have "T3H .GAMBIT SYSTEM" and you can move your characters. And when did Vaan become a whining bitch? I really want to know that.
Maybe thats slight hint of 'queer' in his voice would be the recognition to Tidus? His frail stature and seemingly inempt ability to handle a sword... ? lol
If we are going to judge by voice, than Ratchet from "Ratchet & Clank" is also a whining bitch since his voice is done by the same guy who did Tidus voice. Maybe he can't handle a sword, but he can handle an axe or a mace....lol.
dude all of ya have to understand that japan has taken on the metrosexual wave of things, why? I HAVE NO CLUE. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy the game. It's a class of its own in many ways so enjoy it as an individual.
does anyone know if the collectors edition is limited to a time only or can i get it like 5 months later? and does it come out on ps3?
http://ps2.ign.com/objects/838/838049.html "This Collector's Edition, available in a limited run and exclusive to certain retailers (in America, GameStop and EB Games outlets), features a bonus DVD of Japanese and American promotional trailers, in-depth developer interviews, an art gallery and featurettes focusing on highlights of the FINAL FANTASY franchise, all wrapped up in special packaging." P.S:I pity da fool.
ff12 is pretty good. they improved some stuff, but nothing really special. the new battle system kinda makes the game easier coz you dont get random battles and you can avoid enemies on the map. the gambit system is ok too, given you know how to set it up properly.
This game isn't that bad... Battle system is different, but I hope they go back to the traditional style.... And the settings seem more FF9-esque, which I felt was the best of the "new" Final Fantasies
I got FF XII. Game is awsome. Only thing i dont really like is the battle type thing. you get hit just about everytime.
