    The processor isn't great.
    (In my opinion)
I'm sure you could get a better deal than that.
    What are you looking for?

    Well, PERSONALLY.
    I recommend, 1gb Ram, at least a 2ghz processor and a 256mb graphics card and a 250gb h/d :).
But then again, you'd be better off asking xelink or Master for specific parts :|

You still need a graphics card nonetheless.

Are you willing to build it, and what is your budget.

Mav, don't be jugding things on Ghz, please. I thought you read enough things by Xelink and me to know that.

For $600... hmm. Well the desktop you have chosen out is using a mobile processor (Pentium M), which is kind of dumb...

You could probably look at a:
    Athlon 64 3800+ $115
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103029

    Biostar TForce Skt AM-2 $73
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813138028

    Kingston 2x 512MBDDR2-533 CL4 $116
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820144152

    eVGA Gefore 7600GT $130 (With $20 MIR)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130062
    { If need be, you can get this video card to save cash.}
    Seagate 320GB 7200RPM W/ PRM Tech $95
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16822148139

    NEC CD/DVD R+RW $30
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16827152076

    Enhance 500W ATX12V Rev.2.2 (24/20+8/4+6) $67
    http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=PS-E5150GH&c=fr&show=r

Cooler Master Centurion ATX Case $44
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811119068

    Total: $700.90
The total includes shipping from Newegg but not for the eWiz product.

    Hope I helped.

time to get working on that "Build your own computer 101" again...

buying seperate parts and building it yourself can save you money, believe me.

the Pentium Ms are clock/Clock at the same level as the athlon 64s. most analysts conclude that they are SLIGHTLY behind but not to the point where it isn't negligeable.

I'd suggest an athlon 64 system though at that price point, the slwoest athlon 64 is faster than that Pentium M.

I would, seems like a decent system cumulatively. another alternative would be to swap to a Pentium D805 and a diferent board(lower single thread performance but higher multithread) and if need be, overclock
