Im 16 and I really need to start thinking of what I want to go to collage for. I like networking, computers, and art (such as making websites etc... except drawing) Can anyone tell me some good high paying jobs for categories such as graphic desiging, interactive media design, graphic design, etc... Or if there is a website that could help me out with this that would be great.
go to some of the colleges, its not just about whats the best payed job, you need to think about what you want to do with the rest of your life. If you choose something for the money that you wont enjoy then you will regret it. Visit the college and see what suits you best and then think about the pay. I wasted a year last year doin Alevels, now im at a proper college doing a Engineer course for a year and then Aeronautical engineering for 2 years after that and im really enjoying it. College is the best time of your life and sadly it aint just for partying, you gotta do the studying part too, this is my final chance to make something of myself so im really knuckling down this year. Gd luck with whatever you choose mate.
I would agree with you 100% on that. I think I know what college I want to go with but im still going to search around, but I dont know what I want to do. I wanted to know the jobs and such for the pay simply because im going to choose something that I would like to do with some decient pay.
www.fbijobs.gov start when your 23, retire with pension and benefits when your 50. all you need is a bachelor's degree with a 3.3 or higher. i'm hoping to intern for the fbi or atf my junior year.
freelance. i might become an apprentice to a graphic designer who actually makes a living off it, try to find something like that.
Your 16, you don't need to know anything about your future right now. What you need to do is find some peon type job, working at a movie theater, restaurant, fast food, cart pushing, cashier, etc. and then just keep that job solid until you head off for college and leave on a 'leave of absence' for college and get a part time job while your at college, and let your job that you have a 'leave of absence' know when you will be back home and be able to work (this allows you to keep a clean record with the company and having a well established job for your starting resumes helps). Your first 2 years of college is basically 100% your core classes and random miscellaneous classes to help you get a general grasp on what you are looking into doing. Your career only comes into play when your in your 3rd year of college. Also, I would HIGHLY advice not to base your decision on a profession on a current hobby. Odds are you will get worn out on that particular hobby and it won't be a hobby much anymore. Also, out of college, its an extremely competitive market to find any form of high paying job. I would personally prefer to get a mid-paying job somewhere that I enjoy working rather than a high paying job somewhere I would hate working, and thus far has provided me with general happiness in my jobs and capability to find them (and the jobs I have had that I enjoyed where not previous hobbies of mine). Most, if not all jobs, can be perfect for you varying on those who you are working with. Some jobs you may love the actual job, but you will absolutely despise your co-workers and boss and quite often while your doing your 'peon' jobs to get you through college you are unlikely to find any form of job where employee satisfaction is high on the charts. Until you are 18 the jobs you have are highly limited. Super markets, movie theaters, fast food, restaurants, or go-for jobs at family friend/relatives places of business are basically your only options. From there on it doesn't get much better, you turn 18 and you get stuff like sales floors (target has sales floor employees for example that walk the store and ask customers if they need assistance, for instance), the ability to work in specialty areas of super markets (photo center, deli, meats, truck unloading, etc.) and construction. Most other occupations that aren't starting positions in any job will require you to have at bare minimum an associates degree and previous work in the field (via internship or family friends/relatives business opportunities), and most will require a bachelor's degree in an associated field.
Im a very over achieving person when it comes to jobs. I am mainly about designing, politics, and business. So graphic desinging to me isnt very much of a hobby. I was thinking into going in business and politics but have no idea on where to start. Im trying to a job other than a grocerie store as of now since im trying to be helpful around the house and pay for the utilities and help pay off my mothers car while she is struggling and going to college as of now. Im trying to get a head start abd graduate early but unfortunately my school is keeping me back and is not letting me go to summer school/night classes to get out early. I guess ill just let whatever is put into my hands work. Well if anyone could help me out as of anything I would greatly be appreciated. I would also thank everyone that has helped me to progress further into my life. Remeber what goes around comes around. The more you give the more you get regardless if you are a believer of god or not. Anyways im very much appreciated of you guys so good luck with life.
