but in all fairness Vexta..on page one..you took some sigs from the Ps.com forums..and lets face it..you and i both know that the sigs on the site are much better than that..i can see one or two from your selection that are good sigs..but some of them you have posted where made by sig makers who use paint..

Youve got to realise your not elite sig maker, nor am i, nor is joey, in fact i dont think i can anyone is here or at ps.co.uk, but there are people who above standard, who know what theyre doing, who pull off some amazing pieces of art and sigs. And your not one of them. So stop acting like you are.
a bit more on topic then... yes grunge is overused and getting seriously boring, everyone needs to try something new around here like photomanipulation or soemthing....

It can't be overused, there is no limit, is it even officially called Grunge? Or did someone make it and everyone else follow a trend? Well then. It's a style, style that is effective don't try and order people because of your personal preferences please.

my 1st sigs were grunge....they werent perfect...but its simple for people to do it...people have to start somewhere...then they move to more difficult types of sigs, if they want to go grunge, let them...
yeah thats the problem grunge is too easy, i have no problem with people using it myself, hell i do most of the time here, but over on ps.co.uk we have a thing about grunge, its a strictly free grunge zone if you dont have grung then to be honest i think you get a much better end result, you have to put more thought into what your doing, layouts, colours, and think more proffesionally, rather than make a 10 minute grunge bg and a 30 minute sig. if we didnt have grunge i think many people (even some of the good sig makers) would seriously struggle to make anything even average and too be honest the good sig makers at ps.co.uk dont have that struggle. Just the struggle of how to pull of what you want to. As a general i also find that we get a lot more variety at ps.co.uk, there are a huge variety of skills people have learnt and not just a grunge/abstract style. You get a lot more flavour, juice as i like to call it out of the sigs and they are techinically a lot better. This however i guess is just my opinion. Cheers for reading it
I do agree it is overused and avstract is grunge still....its click click blend just like normal grunge same with tech.
Grunge is overused because its the simplest tthing to do. You could make a nice grunge sig in a few minutes. But to make a nice abstract or photomanip you must spend much more time, and use much more creativity. Any noob can do grunge, real graphic artists can make fantastic abstract and photomanip. Now im not saying not to do grunge, but if you do it at least spend some time and try and do something creative instead of the same dumb clouds and overblended render.
