Alright, I want to organize a tournament on the east coast of the United States for the game Starcraft: Brood War, if I can get enough gamers, the prizes can be pretty large, (maybe 1.5k for 1st). How would you recommend me to start this up?
use bots and spam bnet but seriously, just tell people you know about it, and tell them to tell people they know about it. hang up posters or something at lan centers(gaming centers) if you know any. also, whats your aka on bnet, and which server? maybe we can play sometime =P
you dont start something up on your own, get a team and try to give every member of the team a goal. like one makes a website, one tries to get people in via advertising, on arranges the funds etc. first think you should do like ghetto prophet said, start a website and make people go there. then set up the applications for people who want in. have a sort of accountant to. someone who will give the prices out and keeps the funds that are paid for entrance for example. and maybe if you want to get it really big, try and get someones attention from the starcraft team or something. that you can play matches against one of the creators. but i dont think it'll be that large though. if you got some ambition you could certainly try
