I'm sure alot of people would agree when I say that sales in the graphics department here are very biased. People only want the "---" or "-------" signatures. They base ratings off of other sites.

To be honest I don't care what you're rated at some other site. I don't care if they think you're some -----, because I browse there on occasion and see ratings that contradict each others.

For example my good mate used EvoGFX's tutorials for each sig he posted there, and they looked close to as good if not just as good as the ones in the tutorials that were rated -----. However he got rated moderate or intermediate, and EvoGFX rated this himself. So what does that show you, does he rate himself as intermediate? Hah..

Well anyways I don't care what you're rated at a site full of stuck-up hypocrites.

I care about what the sig looks like. For those who agree, we just have to sit here and watch equal to or lesser skilled people make 1k, 2k, 3k off of their sigs while we're lucky to make 50.

A prime example is that I got 300 or 400c for a tag I made while I was in Intricate Illusions, and after that I couldn't even sell a tag.

-- Well anyways what I am getting to is that if we really want to change this whole biased (not all of it is a load of crap, some tags are really worth the credits spent) setup then we will need to start doing something.

I can do all I want, but I can't do it alone.

I don't mind good tags getting good credits, but when people come in here and gather 30k with like 100 posts then I get ticked. They boast some rating on some other site and people eat out of their palms, and they sell the same techniques over and over and basically sell out their style. Then they sell the credits for $ and leave or repeat the process.

    ---

Discuss if you will. Don't flame, thats just a waste of time. K thx.

Yes Street, but people keep bypassing the ban. I don't see a change in the sales either.

    Hmm?
I agree with what your saying. But I don't think i've ever bought a tag, and I never will. Because tags are useless, they're nothing. If you want to be real about GFX, make real GFX. Make website designs etc, screw tags. Ye these people may make afew CREDITS selling there cruddy tags, you can make $XXXX.XX selling real GFX.. So leave them waste there time, and spend yours on something worthwhile. That's my opinion on the whole GFX scene.

    Oof?

Oh yes, GENIUS Idea, let's ask the people who weren't good enough to get in IE Rejected, what they think of the crew. Not everyones a @!*~ like you, some people actually handled rejection with a pinch of salt? And heck, you even got in, your crappy attitude got you kicked out. But seriously, go look at the thread, people who got in = happy, multiple decent people who applied are applying again = happy, whingers like you = unhappy.

Then again, we dont actually care.

    k?

Btw, did you ever consider the fact that, you may not actually be as good as them? You go on about this ratings crap but you continously say that yours, or your mates whatever, sigs are better then these people who make 1k. First of all, prove it. Second of all, what the hell is wrong with having a brand name? Do you not go buy a nike t-shirt thats plain black with a tiny white tick on it when you could get the same without the tick for $5 cheaper?

It's how economy and the world has always worked, and there is no way in hell your going to change it.

Welcome to the world of art. People buy based on name and not so much on quality.

I totaly agree with you but as others have said people like sticking to a name they know.

Do you go out and buy stuff taking a chance when you know you can get the same product and have a good feeling that it will be to the level of satisfaction you were looking for?

When you get your name out there you dont really have to work as hard to keep it out there. It's all about getting that break through peice.
