What is your chipset? Motherboard? CPU? Power supply?

Can you test the motherboard, power supply and cpu (seperately) and confirm that they are functional?

Its probably the CPU if the fans come on. At least from what I think. If you bought from NewEgg, RMA :)

But first, check to make sure its not the video card. If you can, try to get some kind of sound playing from the speakers. For example, try turning it on, and try to get into XP somehow, and hear the logon music. If you can't, its probably the RAM or the CPU.

For you RAM, if you have 2 sticks, try one at a time, in every slot.

um, i have a green light on the video card like below it, not sure what that means. What does the cpu have to do with it? I have dual ram so i dont think both broke. i also have a celeron cpu somewhere so i can check with that. yea i got it from newegg.

    heres my mobo

i have a pentium D 805 too lazy to look it up. and kingston 2x512 value select dual ram

    also a powercolor x800GTO

the thing is tho, you know when you turn on a pc, the lights on the keyboard light up sometimes, it didnt light up. but when i connected it to the dell, they did.

Did you install the power switch right? I had one once were the powerswitch was bad and it would turn on then off right a way.

I have almost the same PC as you. The green light just means that the video card is being powered...red light means not enough power.

The video card also messed up on mine, and I had the same one. Check that out first. Even if one RAM stick is defective, it could cause your startup to no work.

Best bet is to take the RAM and Video Card to Best Buy and hand it to the Geek Squad to test for free.

If worst comes to worst, you have to test the CPU.

I love the video card, what was wrong with it?

And they never payed for my shipping when I got like 7 things RMA'ed wtf...

But yea, go ahead and give it a try.

Did you take the video card out, and then try it, since your motherboard supports onboard video?

    If not, try that also.
