I don't feel like the Donator Membership is actually a donation. I see a lot of moderators saying "It's a donation. We don't have to give you anything at all." I mean it has a PRICE. If I want to DONATE to a site, then I should be able to send however much money I want whether it's $100, $15, or $0.50. Once you slap a SET PRICE on something and make it an ITEM that you can buy with credits, it's no longer a donation...that's when it becomes a PRODUCT. So to all you moderators that say stuff like "It's a donation. We don't have to give you anything at all." whenever Donators complain about not getting some of the features that they paid for, just remember that the so called "donation" has a price just like all the other ITEMS in the shop.

btw...as for as I'm concerned, the name of the entire member group should be changed to something else

up until about a week ago, we were able to BUY a "Donator" Membership from the SHOP, send it to a friend, and have them SELL it to someone else for a profit

does that really sound like a "donation" to u? or does it sound more like a bootleg DVD

i can understand that but it's still more of a product then a donation since it actually has a price

FYI, you have NEVER been able to buy Donator and send it to anyone, ever. Not a week ago, not a month ago, not ever. You where however, able to log into someone elses account, and buy it for them on that account. Just like the Premium membership. Donator is only a temporary item we have in the shop at the moment.

As far as you saying its not a donation just because it has a set price, you would be incorrect. There are lots of non profit organizations out there, who ask for a set price when asking for donations. Granted you can always give more, but alot of them have a minimum price these days. I know this, because I donated to one just three days ago, something for youth.

So many people whining/complaining/abusing things that involve, or revolve around the Donator membership these days. Yes, Donators where told they would get certain things. However, Llama has left, and now we have a different admin, who, is completely in his right, to decide what he chooses to offer, and not offer to Donators.

So is there a point to this post at all? Or are you complaining just to complain. I see you saying its not an actual donation, and thats your opinion. Are you complaining that you are not getting anything? Last I checked, the Donators where getting more then anyone else, except staff, on this forum. So whats the problem?

We have been trying to add more features for Donator's as well, but to be perfectly honest, the more complaining I see, involving donator membership, the less and less im motivated to bring more in, because lets face it, whining, and complaining, in excessive amounts, is annoying. And between the abusers, the guy in problems and suggestions complaining that we are selling Donator in the shop, and now this thread here, its starting to become annoying.

We are trying to offer as much as we can to Donators. But, some things, just aren't resonable, and it is an internet forum after all, so there is only so much that can be offered. No ones forcing you to buy Donator, although it is always appreciated when someone does.

Just as an added note...I checked the list of things that where being offered to Donators, when Llama originally created them...and what do ya know...everything that was said to be offered with Donator, is there, except the e-mail address (which I just removed from the list, since there seems to be problems with that). So the members of the Donator group are at this point, getting exactly what they donated for, and a little more come to think of it, seeing as how we added a discount to the shop for them, that is larger then the premium member discount, as well as having added a donator resource forum.

i'm not complaining about the features that we get.....i love the features that we get. the thing that aggravates me is when mods say stuff like "We don't have to give you anything at all." when it doesn't really seem like it's an actual donation

r u sure that we were never able to send it? it seems to me like we were but then it was taken away

We have never allowed it to be sent, so not sure why he said otherwise, if that post is reffering to the Donator.

Alright, im being told they where able to sell the Donator membership item from the shop. However, that should have never been allowed in the first place, so it was something that was never intended to be had.
