i use NOD32 and it is awesome. It catches everything and I don't even notice it running because it doesn't use many resources.

Just don't use Norton or McAfee they will use all your resources and make your comp run slow.

    NOD32 + zonealarm, adaware + spybot.
    Two of the best combos.

    Kaspersky
    NOD32
    ZoneAlarm

#1 and #2 I've used before and they are awesome. Right now, I'm using Kaspersky have no problems at all with it.

probably deep freeze now that i think about it. (or somethign like that, it effectively makes it so no internal files can be modified, not even by you intentionally)

    isn't free though.

If you want to buy a antivirus, go with NOD32 or Kapersky. Both has low resources and great scanning ability.

For spywares, I recommend going with SpyBot. Of all the antispywares, I found this to be the best.

In my opinion, Comodo Firewall is a great piece of freeware. It uses little resources and does a clean job.

Not true..Hacker are good and they release undetectable virus anytime -_-

    NOD32,Kaspersky,MacAfee are quite good virus-scanners.

Spybot is good for scanning for Spywares.

Ad-Adware is good for scanning for Adwares.

That is just my opinion.. :D Just hope that one day,all the hackers are dead.

Anti-spyware (Free) - SpyBot, Old Windows Defender (Before it became Defender)

    Anti-spyware (Retail) - Panda

    Anti-virus (Free) - AVG, ClamWin

    Anti-virus (Retail) - Norton

    Firewall - ZoneAlarm

I don't condone the use of software firewalls, just not my thing, if you want the best protection, your better off buying yourself a Netgear or Linksys Router. Enough said.
