Heres a list of programs I recommend. Useful for people who want some good programs.

    Security

    eTrust Armor 2005
eTrust made a great anti-virus/firewall here. You can make it so when a program wants to send a packet through the net you get a pop-up telling you the IP it's going to and whether to allow it or not. I highly recommend this program. 10/10

    Ad-Aware SE 1.05
I have the professional version of this which includes Ad-Watch. I can safely say this is one of the best anti-spyware programs around. It checks your registry unlike most anti-spyware programs. 10/10

    WPE Pro
This is a freeware packet sniffer. Has a great layout and easy to use. i highly recommend this to paranoid people! 10/10

    Spybot Search and Destroy
    Good at removing dialler, etc.

    Bazooka Spyware Scanner
Comes with access to a database to show you how to remove any nasty remaining spyware.

    Messengers

    Trillian
With trillian you don't need msn, icq, AIM, yahoo or irc! It's all in one here and with a few good features. I recommend this to people who have a lot of messengers and not enough room on their desktop. There is not many bugs in this. 9/10

    Computer Cleanups

    Tune-Up Utilities 2004
This is a good program that allows you to speed up your comptuer greatly. You can use their one-click cleanup shortcut on your desktop to fix your comptuer in no time! 10/10

    O&O Defrag
This is one of the best defragmenting program here. I just used it and my computer is going better than the one microsoft gives ya. You get a good customisable defrag with a on screen layout (with custom legend). 9/10

    Computer Cleaner
Made by yourself *bows* Deletes a ton of los, files and unneeded things from your hard drive exetremely fast. Simple design and user interface.

And if you don't have FireFox already GET IT NOW! :P

Post other programs you want on here.... I'll add them when I'm bored. This isn't a complete list... I only added some that were top of the list material.

actually i think you'll find yahoo is a lot better. by almost 100%

google has something like 130 millio search results in total.

where as yahoo as 250 million.

if your looking for something yahoo will bring up a lot more results almost doubling the chance of finding you what you want.

As for the proggie list: Winamp, everyone knows what this is, but it should still be in the list.

What version of Linux do you run? (Knoppix, Redhat...?)

    Kudos to the list
