Man, so far, we have Ethanol fueled cars as the best resourse (Along with the electric car.) If thy could tweak immisions and fuel, to make it pure water on both ends, you wouldn't need to refuel your car. I support this, oil prices are WAY too high right now. I just hope the idea get carried on further.
I heard that there was something about how GPS and motion detectors on cars will eventually make it so all you have to do is plug in the destination and the car will drive for you. This idea's pretty cool though. Now people who can't drive becuase of leg/feet problems can drive and all we'll have to worry about now is driving on the wrong side of the road.
I read an article in Popular Science where they mentioned how H wouldnt be that viable. Some points mentioned: youd need a hefty tank to hold the hydrogen for the same mileage as gasoline. Then there was something like if you left your H-car alone for a week, all the H would disappear. Itd be great to have that kind of car out, although some businesses (such as oil corporations) wouldnt like the thought of their sales dropping.
