The Sony laptop is not bad. Especially if it comes out to those minor differences. The one plus of a Sony is the screen. The Sony screens are amazing compared to the other laptops. I don't know which version of windows your running, but i suggest you get rid of all the advertising software that comes on the Sony AKA bloatware. Other than that it's really a personal choice and since the Sony is more stylish in my opinion i would take it.
Let me check out IBP later if I dont respond for a while you can PM me to tell me to. for 1700 you probly can do better but I'm not completely sure... Idk if I'd custom build a labtop.... Is this gonna be a labtop for gaming? or graphics? or just web browsing? or what.
Some alternatives... In no particular order: http://www.viciouspc.com/notebook.html http://www.voodoopc.com/showRoom.aspx?categoryID=2 http://www.----star.com/index.cfm?mainpage=product http://www.biohazard-computers.com/ http://www.sagernotebook.com/pages/product_info.html http://www.abs.com/app/mayhem_compare.asp http://www.hypersonic-pc.com/2001/index.asp
Thats not the right labtop to compare it to now that you got a 1700 buck budget. At the same config, the IBP one is 1600. Comes with a free 1gb usb flash drive and a carrying case. The RAM is faster. same gfx card. Same OS and this is guessing that the Sony labtop HD is 7200 RPM. If its only 5400 rpm, then the IBP one at that speed will make the overall system price lower to 1540. Now if you wanna go for the sony still, go for it. It does sound cool, VAIO.... but yea, I'm trying to help, not put other things down.
this should put you off ur sony but im gussin it way too expensive but i think its a laptop (20.1 inch screen) http://www.dell.com/content/products/produ...=en&s=dhs&cs=19 theres a cheaper one for 2200 http://www.dell.com/content/products/produ...=en&s=dhs&cs=19 And then the cheapest is http://www.dell.com/content/products/produ...=en&s=dhs&cs=19
If you want the Sony one, go for it my friend. It won't do you any harm, it looks like an OK laptop and it's your choice, not ours.
before- http://criggie.dyndns.org/laptop/dellL400/...s/dell_l400.jpg after http://www.theinquirer.net/images/articles...l%20banger1.jpg http://gadgets.elliottback.com/wp-content/...l%20explode.jpg dell battery recall... note that only dell had issues even though almsot eeryone used the same battery...
Whatever, your choice, and money, so go for it,. or is it your mothers money.. whatever xD Might I add.. 1600 = 1520 1540 = 1465-1470 both have free shipping also, as does sony. Tax adds on $155 Bringing the Sony one to $1,942 total IBP has 123 for total tax in CA, dont know why its 30 bucks less but it says it is.... that total would be 1340 as the equivalent of the sony one. Or 1400 with the better HD. Also, I'm 90% sure that the HD's are only 5400 rpm idk why i chose 90.. actually, i just read they were 5400 so would that make it 100%?... I'm just trying to help you bud
Why do you love it? And that just means it will read/write on the disk slower.. If someone can get benchmarks that'd help o,o Big programs, games, booting up, those kinda things will be slower. Basically, you save a few seconds here or there. Up to you there but Idk.. I'm all about performance and bang for buck so I'd get the 7200rpm.. I was gonna say just install ur own HD but then I rememebred this is a labtop so that probly wont happen. Someone else give an opinion here
well i checked the other sony laptops and mostly all of them actaully all of them are 5400rpm wil taht actually hurt my pscs2 and other programs cuz i wont be gaming htat much just like rarely anyways i am still ginterested in the sony vaio fx series Zain
I've heard for larger files, it goes slow. But Idk what large means.. 2mb's? 10mb's? 50? 100? and as I said, programs like CS will just take some extra seconds to load up and such. Now ya see, I'm answering you, now answer me. Why are you so obsessed with vaio's? xP my teacher had one I think, they were pretty decent, he played X-plane on it all the time in class xD
