Ok here's my situation.....I was with my ex for about 6 months and me and her were really in love with each other. We broke up in May but never stopped talking to each other and we still loved each other. About 2 months ago I started going with my current girlfriend and I really care about her (I think I love her) but at the same time I still love my ex.

Does anyone here think that it is possible to be in love with more than one person at one time?

I dont believe theirs ONE true love on this planet for you. I'm not negative about love, I'm just saying. There's just some you love more than others.
I think it's fine.. In time you'll probly find out for yourself who you really love the most.

I have to disagree, you can love many people but in my opinion, you can only truly be IN love with one person :)

Loving someone is totally different than being IN love with someone.

When you are IN love with someone that person turns your world upside down, you think you can do anything when that person is around, basically you feel like a totally different person, your feelings towards this person are great, i could go on but i wont.

Nothing changes, you may love this other girl but i wouldnt say you were IN love with her, unless you thought you were IN love with your ex when really you wasnt, you just loved her.

Who do you care about the most is the question, who do YOU really want to be with? Follow your heart not what your mind tells you to do, if you think its right go for it ;)

It is definantly possible to love more than one person at a time. There are a lot of great people out there, and it's just impossible sometimes to not love them all (or in your case two of them)

Eh, I think that's more or less obsession. Which is easily mistaken for love. Anyways, love, in my opinion, is nothing more then a choice. Just like every other emotion. For example, if you hate someone, you've chosen to do so. You could have chosen to forgive them, or whatever. Love is the same way, you have to chose to love someone. It's either a concious or sub-concious decision that has to be made...well, yea, my two cents...I think it's possible to love two people in that sense, but your love for the first, would have stopped you from loving your second..I dunno, my opinion...>_>...

love a choice lol. Love is something you can't help. You cant just choose to stop feelings for someone, if you think you can then you havent experienced true love yet and at ur age i doubt you have. You can't just choose who you like and who you don't. Same with other emotions.

What i said is far from an obsession and love is also far from a choice...have you ever been with a girl and truly loved them?

If you hate someone you have not chosen to do so, they may have done something wrong to you/bullied you or whatever which makes you hate them, you can dislike someone for no reason but that is different to what you are saying. Hate is a strong word to use and is not to be used lightly, dislike is a better word for what you are trying to say.

I also have to disagree with your last opinion...loving the first person does not stop you from loving the second person more, you may have loved the first person and thought you were in love with them, then you break up, find a new girl who you truly love and realise that the first person you was with you didnt really love. (but thought you did)

But yes you can be with someone and love them more than the second but if the first partner didnt love you as much as you loved them, then you didnt find your soulmate in the first place.

Love can take a god damn long time to find but when you have it you dont want to ever let it go.
