An online friend I've had for many years was said to be dead by his "brother" who I also knew. His SUV was sideswiped on a freeway and such and it caused him to roll over. He hasnt been online since his brother told that story, 8 days ago. I dont know whether to believe it or not cuz he was always a kidder, but this is pretty big... any way to find peoples death records or..something.. someway to find out what happened? I know his name, and where he is from. Unless he lied, but I doubt it.
Their local paper...maybe ? Death records are only available to close family of the 'victim' or members of a law agency.
Most local papers have a website or even the local town would have some sort of public thing online. Try searching his name and everything, see what comes up from an obituary or something.
From experience, it's probly a lie. Some girl's sister I knew, good friends for a long time. Her sister said that she'd taken an overdose and that she was in hospital and probaly going to die...turns out she was lying, just a "Cry for attention" usually. I mean, she vanished for like 2 weeks so obviously I got a tad nervous and thought it might be true, but finalyl she came back on. Always helps to have a mobile number, or ask his brother to give you his home number then ring up, if his parents deny it then :|
for a while broken was dead. but then he came back with a new working computer. hes prolly in the hospital if he was in an accipent anyways.
