First of all, people fight because they have different opinions on everything. In this case war will never end, unless everyone were completely homogeneous (the same). If all people thought exactly the same, no one would have a problem. I also dout that even if Jesus were to be ressurected, not every would believe or accept it. There are some really stubborn people out there. In the case of the hostages being saved, how many of the captors were killed during the rescue? You have to kill people to save people, I guess.
