    Far beyond driven.
I've run into a bit of a snag, and was wondering if there were any gurus who could assist me.

I haven't been using PS for more than a year, and I've churned out a lot of crap. I've also put out some decent stuff. It pleased my eyes at the very least...yet, I still haven't made anything that I deem worthy.

I've read tutorials. I've followed them step by step. I took the knowledge I gained from them and attempted to make something of my own, yet to no avail.

Am I suffering from a severe case of hating my own work? Perhaps a lack of artistic vision? None of those are anything that could be helped with, but if someone could perhaps point me in the right direction. I know what I want things to look like, but never seem to get it to the quality I want it to be at.

    I drone on.

Any assistance would be mucho appreciated.

    Constructive criticism works too.

I am by no means a guru of any sort, but i'm alright at what i do. If your here because your a sig maker, then do somthing else. I used to make sigs, and never liked them. But just recently i started making things 100% in photoshop, and it feels really good to make somthing only using vector art. If yove never done art with vector, go ahead and look at some tuts. Its realy fun and rewarding knowing its all you.

Which I think it is your problem. Your sigs don't have your own touch at all. You should ALWAYS change your sig when you do a tutorial, because if you can't put all of the things you have learned together, you are going to end up with a bad outcome. Tutorials aren't made to be followed scratch by scratch, whenever I follow one my outcome is preety bad, so I go and change some of the layers and add my touch on it. It always turns out better. Than you can't add things you learn from tuts together just like that, you should really costumize it better. Try and make a sig all by yourself, you make the main layers alone, than the rest (Adjustement layers, finishing touches, ect.) try to make them with what you learn around from tuts. Or maybe you are in a block. I used to have that same problem too, but I found my way evertually. Keep trying. -_-

look at other art. Just watch it. Like it. Be friendly with all the colors of the spectrum. Don't think on how should I make an effect like that or how long that will take me. Just think of how much effort someone used to make it so creative.

    download some learning right psds.
and try to figure out for yourself how they did it.
    then try to recreate it.
i did it sometimes to, and it works.

everyone has the problem of not really liking their art.

jsut try some stuff out for yourself.
when i made these 5 sigs i have in my current space, i was just fvcking arround in photoshop, not really trying to make something.
then i get something out, and i define it a bit, and well i think, pff enough practice, lets post it somewhere or show it somewhere to get some CC.

just try a lot, and practice, its the best learner.

Strangely, some of teh sigs we churn out that we dislike become some other peoples' fave. I just take some time messing around and checking some free psds and a few bought ones.
