Finally I'm working on my own portfolio:

    Click

The point is I'm very unsure about the bg - no plain color really fits. Anyone got a suggestion?

Besides c'n'c concerning the whole page is highly appreciated ;)

edit: I forgot: The flower on the left side is originally photographed by my brother. You may visit his gallery here (some great pics in there)

    Ok First.

It's too wide. What it is with people making templates at 1024 x 768. Even if the person if viewing it using a 1024x768 resolution ( I am) You still have too scroll. Because that is including the scrollers at the left and bottom of the page, and a bunch of other stuff.

Appart from being too wide it's not all that bad.

The Navigation font colour needs to be a little darker. As it is, it's pretty hard to read against the white background.

The main content text isn't that easy to read easy either. Is "anti-alising" on ? If so take it off.

There banner, i'm not sure about. It's a real eye catcher. Not sure weather it's distracting or not. Black and white ? Still not sure. But it looks good.

    Not bad at all

Well I don't know any people (meaning rL friends) having 800x600 or 1024x768 resolution. But maybe I'll make a smaller version.

I don't know, maybe the text is smoothed, but I don't have any problems reading it. It's gonna be coded in html anyway. And the green is actually a dark green...

    Any more critics?

Awsome temp, i get the portfolio feeling. Like everything but what wonderboy said, a little to wide. Maybe a logo above the links in the left corner would be cool?
    keep it up :D

Then perhaps you should take a look at this:

    http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

    [Scroll down to 'display resolution'].

    Very good site. :D

Unfortunately all the good work you have done one the content area etc is completely let down by the banner, which isn't up to much at all. The resolution is poor and it seems altogether unimaginative.

Why not do another photo-manipulation like you did for the left hand side or something?

Once the banner is done then your template will be very high quality.

    A few more details:

Do you have a [very] slight alignment issue with the left pic and the content? and perhaps you should move your news topics 10px or so to the left as there is a lot of redundant space (and this would reduce the width of your site as well).

hm...maybe you're right. I feel like the banner and the rest doesn't really stick together.
Maybe I'll dismiss the whole part under the banner and try something new.
And I'll scale down the width to approximatly 1000...

Acutally it is a manip with some smudge in the eyes. But other than the flower it's b/w ^^

edit: I think I changed my mind...I'll create something completely new lol
